Founded in 2009, Long Beach-based Post-Apocalyptic Metal outfit AHTCK (pronounced "attack") has spent over a decade and a half building something most bands never do: a genuine institution.
Every year since 2012, they've taken the main stage at Wasteland Weekend - a five-day post-apocalyptic festival in the Southern California desert - earning the distinction of being hailed as the event's unofficial house band. AHTCK's footprint at Wasteland goes well beyond stage time. The band runs AHTCK Squad, one of the festival's most established tribes, and constructs The Black Church each year - a bombed-out church camp on Main Street that houses The Tabernacle, a members-only speakeasy known for acoustic performances, late-night rituals, and gambling for sausages.
Their catalog has grown darker and heavier with every release, driven by riffs built to move a room and hooks that don't let go. It's a body of work that rewards the committed — and so is their live show. High energy, high audience participation, and a visual identity that makes an impression before a single note is played. AHTCK performs selectively across the southwestern US and is open to festivals, themed events, and venues bold enough to book them.
